Time Flies When You Are Having FUN!

It just slipped by. Quietly,  with no fanfare... the 1 year anniversary of my sim Mooville. It was a year ago on June 19th, exactly 6 months to the day that I first visited InWorldz when I decided to invest in it by buying a sim.
It wasn't an easy decision to purchase a sim, not because of my distrust of the future of Inworldz, quite the contrary . Financial  constraints of supporting a dying venture  in SL  gobbled up all of my virtual budget. I believed from my first days when Ele and Legion patiently  helped me get John and his Mac into the world and always had time to help me figure out how to repair my mistakes, that I would own a sim in IW. When I finally let go of the Steelheart dream, I was then able to start fresh , to build my dream in InWorldz.

Mooville's first year has been an interesting and exciting one. I am still amazed that I could, as a fledgling builder in SL could work on an empty flat piece of land bordering the InWorldz Straits and shape prims into  a little waterfront village that it has become Mooville.

After one whole  year, Mooville (and my dream) is still alive! Honestly, besides a few loyal shoppers (you know who you are and THANK YOU for your support!) , there are few visitors to Mooville. No one besides me( and John) hangs out there. It was my hope that it would be a kind of gathering place.

It isn't, not yet... but maybe it is because almost everyone who is on line a lot already has their own land to hang out on....Or maybe it is because I am reluctant to advertise and try to get folks to come see what is there. I don't know.  . It's ok though, Mooville is mine ...built by me and I am happy that I have managed to make almost everything in it in a year. While it may not be everyone's cup of tea., it is  mine, and I am proud of what I have done. I couldn't have done this in Second Life.Maybe things will be different when we have more people, when the "civilians " arrive in InWorldz.
In the meantime, because InWorldz is so affordable, I can just continue to be creative , learning new things and building quirky little things. Who knows what the next year will bring?
